With Mirai breaking into the coveted Rs 100 Cr club, the makers of Manchu Manoj's next movie, David Reddy, are elated. They put out a special poster congratulating their male lead. Mirai has Manoj as Mahabeer Lama, a super-villain aiming for immortality for dangerous purposes. Karthik Ghattamneni's writing and direction have made him a memorable villain.
David Reddy, however, will have Manoj in a heroic, positive role. Since the film is set in the British-India era, the film could be an out-of-the-box action drama. Hanuma Reddy Yakkanti is wielding the megaphone.
David Reddy is produced by Velvet Soul Motion Pictures and True Radix. The event movie will hit the cinemas in 2026.
Manchu Manoj, meanwhile, is enjoying the success of Mirai. "Every single person in our team truly deserves this success.. it’s everyone’s hard work. But Thammudu (hero Teja Sajja), I have to hand it to you for your belief and relentless effort as our Super Yodha from Day 1 till this very second," Manoj recently wrote.
