University Paper Leak, the recent Telugu film directed by and starring R. Narayana Murthy, was a socially conscious drama that focused on the issue of paper leaks in universities. Murthy played a dual role as a government teacher and his idealistic son in the movie, whose story revolved around a paper leak at a private university, leading to the death by suicide of a young girl. Murthy's elderly character then takes on a fight against the private university and its owner to expose the corruption and seek justice.
The paper leak issue may not be that rampant in southern Indian states, but leaks are extremely commonplace in northern states like Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. Since these are poor states where millions appear for government exams, paper leaks affect a vast section of population. Ideally, Bollywood should be making hard-hitting dramas on the issue.
Finally, a social media influencer is making a film on the issue. Amit Bhandana has announced a movie titled Paper Leak. He will be making his acting debut with Paper Leak.
