Megastar Chiranjeevi's fans are in for a treat as his genre-defining film, 'Kodama Simham,' is gearing up for a grand re-release in modern, high-definition format. The only cowboy-themed movie in Chiranjeevi's illustrious career, the film is set to gallop back onto the big screen on November 21st.
Originally hitting theatres on August 9, 1990, Kodama Simham was a massive hit and carved a special place in the history of Telugu cinema. Now, over three decades later, the film has been meticulously restored with 4K resolution and enhanced with 5.1 digital surround sound.
Kaikala Nageswara Rao, the head of Ramaa Films and the producer of the original classic, made the announcement today.
Kodama Simham was a commercial hit and was also dubbed into English as Hunters Of The Indian Treasure and Hindi as Main Hoon Khiladiyon Ka Khiladi. In the original draft written by writer Satyanand, Mohan Babu’s character dies in the interval scene. Paruchuri Brothers, who were drafted in by Chiranjeevi to make improvements, suggested that the character remains alive so that tension will be alive in the second half.
