Raju Weds Rambai has raked in Rs 9.08 crore gross in just four days across India. Directed and written by Saailu Kaampati, it has transformed into a bona fide rural cult blockbuster, blending heartfelt storytelling with slice-of-life romance.
What started as a promising opener has only grown from strength to strength, with Day 4 collections surpassing the average debut on Day 1.
"More than 80% of the collections have come from Nizam. We would have usually avoided mentioning box-office figures, but this is the kind of film that deserves the talking. At this rate, I won't be surprised if our movie hits the Rs 50 crore mark. Small films like ours have to make the most in the initial days itself. In Telangana, our movie is going stronger on single screens compared with the run at multiplexes," distributor Bunny Vas said in his latest interview.
Raju Weds Rambai is fronted by Akhil Raj and Tejaswini Rao.
