A few months ago, the Supreme Court of India issued a notice to Netflix, Amazon Prime, Ullu, ALTT, and even social media platforms and YouTube, asking them to initiate appropriate steps to prohibit the streaming of obscene content. The Government of India will have to ensure that the SC directive is implemented.
As part of the effort, certain apps have been banned on the grounds that they stream "soft porn". Ullu, ALTT, Desiflix, Big Shots and other apps stand banned by an executive order of the Centre.
Parents in India have been thoroughly miffed with the liberal depiction of sex by content on these platforms.
Other Banned Platforms: In addition to Ullu, ALTT, Desiflix, and Big Shots, the ban includes platforms such as Boomex, Navarasa Lite, Gulab App, Kangan App, Bull App, Jalva App, Wow Entertainment, Look Entertainment, Hitprime, Feneo, ShowX, Sol Talkies, Adda TV, HotX VIP, Hulchul App, MoodX, NeonX VIP, Fugi, Mojflix, and Triflicks.
