Just in the morning, actor Chiranjeevi described Vishwambhara as a Chandamama-like tale that suits children the most. The Megastar even turned poetic and stated, "This film is also for the children in us all".
Hours later, the film's glimpse video was anything but! It shows its heroic hero literally doing things that befit Amarendra Baahubali in Baahubali, Devaratha in Salaar, Devara/Vardha in Devara, so on and so forth.
On the face of it, Vishwambhara is more an action film that deserves A certificate from the CBFC. The recent Coolie was given A certificate despite its less-pronounced violent content than what is seen in the glimpse video of Vishwambhara. To be fair to UV Creations and director Vassisht, they did warn the audience about what was coming: they named the video as Mega Blast. It was our mistake to expect Chandamama to beckon us.
In defence of the makers of Vishwambhara, it could be stated that the glimpse video doesn't define its spirit. But bloodletting even in a single scene can warrant A certificate unless the makers agree to chop off those portions. There is a world of difference between what Chiranjeevi said in the morning and what the teaser is all about!
