"A friendship tested by ambition. A rivalry that redefined leadership. A story that changed the fate of a state," the makers of Mayasabha wrote, sharing the trailer of the SonyLIV web series. The show is directed by Deva Katta and co-stars Aadhi Pinisetty and Chaitanya Madadi.

Speaking at the launch event, Sai Dharam Tej said that he grew fond of Deva Katta after watching the trailer of Auto Nagar Surya. "Thereafter, I requested him many times to collaborate with me on a film. It finally happened with Republic in 2021. Republic's climax was retained as it was because I thoroughly liked it. Chitanya Mandadi is a villain in my life. After watching his web series, 30 Weds 21, my mother started bothering me more to get married (Laughs)," the Virupaksha and Sambarala Yeti Gattu actor said. He wished the entire team behind the series all the best. "I hope Mayasabha does wonders for SonyLIV and to all the artists and technicians associated with it. The host jokingly asked SDT about his marriage plans. He laughed it off.

Deva Katta described Mayasabha as a beautiful imagination that throws two friends into unusual, unexpected circumstances. "In 2016, producer Sri Harsha shocked me with a thought. If you look at Andhra Pradesh as one big family, many CMs were appointed. The destiny of AP changed when the public tasted true democracy. I wanted to write a three-part movie. During Covid, I converted it into a web series. I myself consider myself a garden of ideas. That's how I function as a writer. It took a long time for Mayasabha to find its destiny. The day the idea reached SonyLIV, the game changed. SonyLIV is a beautiful place for sensible and beautiful ideas. Look at what they have achieved with Scam and Maharani," the director said.

Deva Katta further added that Sony LIV Business Head Dhanish Khan knows how to catch hold of good ideas. "Mayasabha has been promoted extremely well. Its release has been timed properly. Kiran, my creative partner, has been of great value. With SonyLIV, it is always a creative collaboration. They raise questions from the perspective of the viewer," the Prasthanam maker said.

Vijay Krishna Lingamaneni is my closest friend. "He has produced very good films. He deserves the right people to shine as a producer. He is the man behind Prasthanam. He is the man behind Mayasabha, too. He is a very creative person whose touches elevate the product at the edit table. He can even direct whole scenes," Deva Katta added.

Deva Katta praised the aura that Aadhi brings to scenes. Mayasabha is a result of 264 people coming together. It was wrapped up in 90 working days. The content is the equivalent of three feature films. This means it took just 30 days to finish one film, Deva Katta said.

Music Director Shakti Kanth Karthick will shine like a "crown", thanks to the fascinating soundtrack of the series, Katta added. Actress Divya is someone he likes to collaborate with over and over again.

The series is also directed by Kiran Jay Kumar. It is produced by Vijay Krishna Lingamaneni and Sri Harsha under the banners Hitman & Prudhvi’s Productions LLP. It will debut on August 7.
