'Santhana Prapthirasthu' blends purpose with family fun, says Team

Ahead of the release of Santhana Prapthirasthu on Friday, the film's hero (Vikranth Reddy), director (Sanjeev Reddy), and producer (Madhura Sreedhar Reddy) have spoken about its highlights.

1. The Core Purpose: Combining Entertainment with a Message

All three stressed on the film's meaningful intent. Madhura Sreedhar stated his belief that every film he makes should have a purpose and convey a "small message," describing his latest outing as an "honest attempt to blend fun with a meaningful message." Director Sanjeev Reddy shared that his conviction to make purposeful films grew stronger through his friendship with the producer, stressing that a film should never have a negative impact on society and "should end with a meaningful takeaway." Hero Vikrant noted that while audiences "will laugh throughout," they will ultimately "leave the theatre with a positive message."

2. Overwhelmingly Positive Response from Previews

The team is highly encouraged by the initial audience feedback. The producer, director, and hero all expressed happiness and confidence based on the preview reactions. Vikrant remarked that the feedback from these audiences made them feel that "all our hard work has paid off." Sreedhar Reddy said they are "very happy with the response" and are planning "a few more previews in Hyderabad," while Sanjeev Reddy noted that audiences were laughing at both expected and unexpected moments.

3. Certified as a Complete Family Entertainer

The film is explicitly positioned as suitable for all ages. Both the producer and the hero highlighted the film's UA certificate, meaning it "can be enjoyed by the whole family." Vikrant specifically called it a "family entertainer," noting that during the previews, no one was distracted by their phones, which indicates a high level of engagement.

4. Confidence in Theatrical Success and Pan-India Potential

Sreedhar Reddy shared that the "entire team is confident about the film's success" and it is getting a good release across Telugu and a few southern states. He further projected that based on the talk, the movie will gain "demand at the pan-India level," with a substantial release already secured in the US. The director and producer are eagerly waiting for the audience’s theatrical response on the release day.

5. Influence of Mentors and Friends on the Vision

Both the producer and director acknowledged external influences that shaped the film's vision. Director Sanjeev Reddy shared that he learned the importance of positive social impact from working with Krishna Vamsi and that his friends inspire him to "deliver good content." Producer Sreedhar Reddy touched upon a broader influence, stating that drawing inspiration from Telugu literature could lead to "fresh and original films," citing the Malayalam industry as an example.

6. Team Gratitude and Post-Release Plans

The hero, Vikrant, conveyed his gratitude to the team, thanking director Sanjeev Reddy for "shaping me into the character Chaitanya" and producer Sreedhar Reddy for the opportunity. On the producer's part, Sreedhar Reddy expressed hope that "critics will also support our sincere effort" and revealed that the team is planning to visit theatres and embark on a "success tour" after the film's release.
