In his latest interview, Fahadh Faasil stated that he "failed with a big film in the last one year" and that he doesn't want to talk about the film, advising to "just leave it" when something is not in your control. While he didn't explicitly name Pushpa 2, the context strongly suggests he was referring to it, given the discussions around his character's portrayal.
Previously, after the release of Pushpa 2 (December 2024), older interviews of his resurfaced where he had stated that "Pushpa hasn't done anything for me as an artist" and that he told director Sukumar the same.
Many believe that his character was altered very badly for Pushpa 2: The Rule to accommodate Allu Arjun's character more. This apparently didn't go down well with Fahadh Faasil, who refused to participate in the movie's promotions.
