Under the banner of Seven Hills Productions, the much-anticipated youthful drama Solo Boy, starring Bigg Boss fame Gautham Krishna alongside Ramya Pasupuleti and Shwetha Avasthi, is all set for its theatrical release on July 4. Producer Satish talks about the movie in this interview.

Satish revealed that the core idea for Solo Boy originated from Gautham Krishna. The narrative follows a middle-class boy's journey from the age of 17 through various life challenges until he finally finds stability. "It felt real, relatable, and worth telling," Satish remarked, saying that the story has a universal appeal. During production, the team maintained strict budget discipline, carefully avoiding unnecessary expenditures. He lauded his young and passionate crew, who, despite working for lower pay, offered their full support, and he intends to share the profits with them post-release as a token of appreciation. The film, with a U/A certification, boasts a runtime of 2 hours and 10 minutes and is slated for a wide release across 120–150 theatres in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Satish also highlighted his active creative involvement in shaping the story.

The producer noted that Gautham has been putting his heart into promotions, and having appeared in two seasons of the popular reality show, his visibility undoubtedly enhances the film's reach. He firmly believes that audiences will connect with the content and extend their support. Reflecting on his journey in the industry, Satish shared a valuable lesson: "Ups and downs are part of the game. But with the right intent and team, good cinema will always find its place."

Satish's path to production wasn't linear; he initially started as an assistant director but took a break to venture into real estate, seeking financial stability. He proudly mentioned his friendships with established directors like Venky Atluri, Sagar Chandra, Sampath Nandi, and Balagam Venu, and also recalled working in the direction department with industry stalwarts such as Nandini Reddy, Machha Ravi, and even Natural Star Nani.

Addressing the often-contentious topic of film reviews, Satish maintained a pragmatic stance. He asserted that if the content of a film is strong, it will ultimately reach the audience, irrespective of critical reviews. While he welcomes feedback, he appealed for support during the initial three days of the release to help build crucial momentum.

When asked to describe Solo Boy in a single line, Satish put it: "It’s a film for everyone who’s ever struggled to stand on their own feet. A story about ambition, grit, and survival—Solo Boy reflects the inner journey of today’s youth."

Looking ahead, Satish revealed his next project is a thriller with Narne Nithin, for which the script is already locked. He also shared that he is concurrently working on a new script and, if circumstances align, he would like to direct it himself.
